Masks have become a daily necessities, but they are not friendly to friends who wear glasses-after wearing masks, it is easy to get a layer of fog on the lenses.
In the face of these pesky fog, is there any solution?
Come and learn with me, and give you a clear vision!
Wearing a mask and glasses will generate fog, what should I do?
Recently, the situation of the epidemic has improved, with fewer and fewer newly diagnosed patients and more and more cured people. I believe that the end of the epidemic is just around the corner.
However, as long as the epidemic has not been officially declared over, self-protection cannot be relaxed for a moment.
However, some friends recently reported that masks and glasses are simply incompatible. After wearing a mask, the glasses will fog up as soon as you exhale, which is very inconvenient.
The fog on the glasses also made them have to take off and wear masks repeatedly, which increased many risks. How to do it? Don't worry, today I will share with you a few practical ways to keep your glasses from fogging up!
Method 1: Glasses pressing mask method
The easiest way is to press the glasses on top of the mask when wearing glasses. We can first lift the mask up to the position under the eyes, and then adjust the steel wire on the mask to make it fit tightly on the bridge of the nose. Finally, put the glasses on the mask
In this way, the exhaled hot air is not easy to dissipate, and the small amount of heat dissipated is not easy to touch the lens and condense, and the glasses are not easy to fog.
However, this method has a small flaw, that is, it will increase the distance between the spectacle lens and the eyeball, changing the correct use distance of the glasses, and cannot achieve the best correction effect, so it is not suitable for long-term use.
Method 2: Pad paper towel method
Why do we wear masks and the lenses are easy to fog? This is because the air we exhale contains water vapor. When the warm water vapor touches the cold lens, it will liquefy and form small water droplets on the surface of the lens, so the lens will fog.
Therefore, as long as the gap between the mask and the face is reduced and the water vapor is blocked from rising, the lens can be prevented from fogging. The paper towel method uses this principle.
We can take a tissue, fold it into a strip, put it under the metal strip of the mask, and then bend the metal strip according to the curve of the bridge of the nose to make it fit fully.
In this way, the paper towel under the metal strip of the mask fills the gap between the mask and the face, which greatly reduces the escape of the hot air we exhale, and the lens is not easy to fog up.
Method 3: Apply the lens with detergent, shower gel, etc.
Applying a hydrophilic surfactant to the surface of the lens is also one of the ways to prevent the lens from fogging.
We can dissolve products containing surfactants such as detergent and shower gel in water, then soak the lenses in it, and then dry the water with a lens cloth or paper towel.
As long as you don't touch the water, your glasses won't fog up all day, isn't it amazing?
This is because the "anionic surfactant", the active ingredient in the detergent, is hydrophilic. When they form a film on the surface of the lens, this hydrophilic and lipophilic molecule can be deposited on the surface of the lens. Pull the fog into a water film.
Unlike water droplets, a uniform water film can greatly reduce the diffuse scattering of light, thus maintaining the high transparency of the lens.
Notice:
1. Although this method has better actual effect, it is also easy to damage the lens, so it is not recommended to use it frequently;
2. When using a glasses cloth or paper towel to dry the moisture on the lens surface, use a pressing method instead of rubbing back and forth to reduce damage to the lens.
Method 4: Use anti-fog glasses cloth & anti-fog spray
Generally, the glasses of the little friends do not have the anti-fog function, and it is not convenient to reconfigure a pair of anti-fog glasses at this time, so you might as well try the anti-fog glasses cloth and anti-fog spray (a good partner for swimming goggles).
Anti-fog glasses cloth:
The anti-fog principle lies in the nano anti-fog factor on the glasses cloth, which can form a protective film on the surface of the lens to prevent water vapor from condensing on the mirror surface and achieve the effect of anti-fog.
Glasses anti-fog spray:
It has the functions of cleaning, decontamination, anti-frost, and anti-fog. Spray it on the lens and wipe it, and it can generally keep for about 3 days without fog.
The same principle, anti-fog glasses cloth and anti-fog spray can also be used to prevent the car's rearview mirror or windshield from fogging.
Reminder:
At this stage, it is best not to wear contact lenses to avoid cross-infection.
If you must wear contact lenses, wash your hands and disinfect them carefully before putting them on and take them off, and wash your contact lenses carefully to avoid infection.
